Main bottleneck
Nothing in this chain stops automation. Every production step has a confirmed automated path.
Choose a production route
Supply: Fabric has 2 documented production routes. Pick the one you want to plan around: the planner reports what each of them needs and does not rank them for you.
Production chain
Every step of the chosen route, with what produces it and what it consumes. A step already listed above is not walked a second time.

How each step is classified
- AutomatedAn automated process produces it.
- ManualThe player has to run the method.
- External inputNothing here produces it: it has to be gathered, bought or otherwise brought in.
- UnresolvedThe data does not resolve how it is produced or obtained.
Technologies required
Every technology and quest the chain records, with the step that asks for it. This page does not know your save, so nothing is marked as missing until you say what you have unlocked.
The game data records no technology or quest requirement for this chain.
At least one step needs an unlock the game data does not name, so this list may be incomplete.
Inputs you still need to supply
The end of the chain: what nothing in it produces. These have to be gathered, bought, fished or otherwise brought in.
Manual steps
Steps that currently need a player. An automated chain does not cover them.
No step of this chain has to be run by hand.
Unresolved automation steps
Steps the data cannot classify. This is not the same as a step that cannot be automated.
Every step of this chain is classified.
Your next step
All required technologies are available, but this workstation is needed before the chain can run.
How the Automation Planner works
The planner follows known production recipes and workstation requirements to build a production chain for the selected item. Each step is classified as automatable, manual, external, or unresolved from the available game data.
Technology and workstation requirements are separated from production inputs, so the thing that actually blocks a chain is not buried in a material list.
Automation coverage counts production steps only: the steps that produce something. Materials you gather, buy or fish are listed as inputs to supply, so an item you never intended to automate never lowers the ratio.
