The game data does not state how much one run produces, so every step below lists one run of materials instead of a scaled amount.
Choose a recipe
Melted Fat has 2 documented methods. The calculator uses the one you pick, so nothing here is called the best method.
Materials needed
Every base material in the chain, with the sub-recipes and batch sizes already worked out. The intermediates you make yourself are listed separately in the crafting chain.

What could block this craft
The requirements you marked as not unlocked. Nothing is called a blocker while this page does not know your save.
Nothing is marked as missing: the list above is what the game requires, not a verdict on your save.
Your next step
Start with the base materials. The requirements above are what the game asks for, not a verdict on your save.

How the crafting calculator works
The calculator expands the method behind an item into its ingredients, then repeats that for every ingredient that is itself crafted. Batch sizes are carried through the whole chain, so a method that produces several units per run is calculated as whole runs, and the extra output is shown instead of being rounded away.
Materials are separated on purpose. Base materials are what you actually have to gather, buy or obtain, intermediate crafts are the steps you perform yourself, and every step names the workstation it needs, so a plank is never counted both as a material and as a finished part.
Workstations and technology requirements are listed apart from the materials, so a progression blocker is visible before you spend an evening gathering. Where the game data records no amount, no unlock or no source, the page says so instead of filling the gap in.
